Dr. Terry Miosi, a graduate of the Program of Liberal Studies, has a Ph.D. in Egyptology from the University of Toronto with a specialization in ancient Near Eastern languages and religions.  He has authored numerous publications on Ancient Egypt, Early Christianity, and Quality Assessment/Higher Education.  He has been a member of archaeological and epigraphic teams that worked in the Nile Valley, the Western Desert, and the Sinai Peninsula.  He was the co-founder of the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities.  Dr. Miosi recently retired from over 20 years of service with the Government of Ontario, where he was the Director of the Post-secondary Education Quality Assessment Board.  Previously he was the Academic Dean of ShawCollege and President of the Canadian Society for Training and Development, and he recently served as Senior Consultant to the Qualifications Framework Project of the United Arab Emirates.
