Notre Dame’s Program of Liberal Studies offers a completely unique undergraduate experience: it is the only Great Books program based within a world-class research university. By choosing to major in PLS, you’ll explore philosophy, literature, political theory, natural science, theology, music, and intellectual history. You’ll read, discuss, and write about great thinkers and artists from Aristotle to Jane Austen, from Dante to Darwin, from Shakespeare to Virginia Woolf.
Dr. Joseph Elkanah Rosenberg, PLS’s Director of Undergraduate Studies, will give an informal presentation on PLS and its requirements, and will be happy to answer any questions you have about the program. Pizza, dessert, and drinks will be served.
