Research Profile
Reydams-Schils specializes in the traditions of Platonism and Stoicism. She is the author of Demiurge and Providence, Stoic and Platonist Readings of Plato's 'Timaeus' ( Brepols Publishers 1999); An Anthology of Snakebites: On Women, Love and Philosophy (Seven Bridges Press, 2001); and The Roman Stoics: Self, Responsibility, and Affection (University of Chicago Press, 2005). She is the editor of Plato's 'Timaeus' as Cultural Icon (Notre Dame 2003), and of the electronic journal of the International Plato Society. She currently holds an administrative post in the College of Arts and Letters, as Associate Dean for Research, Graduate Studies, and Centers, and she also directs the Notre Dame Workshop on Ancient Philosophy.
